About the Business

Oak Street Hair Group was founded by Eric Egea, a French stylist, who relocated to Birmingham after answering an ad in a trade paper. Original founders, Peter Sims and Eric’s wife, Lori, are now joined by the next generation of stylists in Caroline Egea, Eric’s daughter and Scott Thomason, Eric’s son-in-law.

The partners and staff take great pride in providing service that is as unique and personal to each client. The Birmingham hair salon has gained local, regional and even national recognition, being voted one of the top salons in the US by Elle Magazine.
